PAX SOUTH is the last of many events in being a victim of the complications of the Covid-19, but the implications for this regional event go a little further this time I just cancel it this year. The organizers announced this week that due to the stagnant nature of Pax South compared to events such as Pax East and Pax West, the Texas-based event will be canceled in the foreseeable future. The problems of Covid-19 were mentioned as an aggravating factor in this decision. In a shared statement on Friday on the decision to cancel the PAX SOUTH of 2022 and any other iteration of the event in the future, the organizers rated the announcement as a difficult decision. The Pax team mentioned that other Pax events have flourished since they were carried out in other cities, but said that Pax South has not benefited from this same growth.
