Thanks to a changed license, the FC Chelsea is allowed to sell tickets again, but still not for home games in the Premier League.
On Wednesday evening, the British government loosened the requirements, which were imposed on the English football club for the sanctions against the Russian owner Roman Abramowich. In addition, Chelsea was approved by its parent company FordStam Limited 30 million pounds to cover costs.
Thus, fans of the Blues can acquire tickets for the Away Games of the Premier League as well as in the Champions League and in the FA Cup. The Champions League winner will meet in the royal class on 6 April at the Stamford Bridge in the quarter-final first leg on Real Madrid and in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on April 16 at the Wembley Stadium on Crystal Palace. For home games in the league, only permanent card holders and away fans are admitted. In the Super League of women, however, there are no restrictions on sale anymore.
Premier League: Revenue are donated
The Premier League said that all revenue from the sale of tickets after consultation with Chelsea "will be donated for charity in favor of the victims of war in Ukraine." The proceeds in the other competitions are not entitled to the Club of Trainer Thomas Tuchel, but to the competent organizations such as the European Football Union UEFA, the English Association FA or the respective outward team in the league.
But Chelsea may still do not make player transfers and generally do not earn money. The British government had imposed the strict action against the owner Abramowich because of the Russian crime war in Ukraine and its alleged proximity to President Vladimir Putin.
