Wales national player David Brooks overcomes cancer

Welsh international David Brooks has overcome his cancer. The 24-year-old, who is under contract with the English second division club AFC Bournemouth, announced on his social media channels.

"I am glad that I completed my cancer treatment. Last week I met my specialist after checking my last test results," wrote Brooks on his TWitter -account. "I am happy to be able to say that the treatment was successful and that I can now give all -clear that I am free of cancer."

The Welsh announced in October last year that he had been diagnosed with lymph gland cancer in the second stage.
